Geocache Description:

If you’re a history buff you might know that our city’s founder, Major Ripley Arnold, wrote that he spent his first night in the area next to cold springs. While the location of these cold springs has never been specifically identified we think it’s safe to say they were somewhere in this approximate location.

With constantly cool water temperatures, we can’t help but wonder if Cowtown Wakepark, one of the nation’s best urban cable wakeparks, has uncovered one of those historical cold springs. After you’re done geocaching swing by and take a lap around the wakepark. Cowtown Wakepark has equipment rentals and even offers lessons and camps for a variety of skill levels!

This geocache is a part of the TRWD Trinity Trails Geocaching Adventure which takes you on a journey throughout the entire trail system to discover hidden gems, historically significant locations and some of the most popular spots along the trails. It’s perfect for families, geocaching newbies and seasoned “cachers” alike.
