On May 2, 2000, GPS signals were descrambled, increasing the accuracy of GPS devices worldwide by ten times. The following day, what would become known as the first geocache was hidden. Quinceañera, also called fiesta de quince años, fiesta de quinceañera, quince años or simply quince, is the celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America and elsewhere in communities of people from Latin America.
So in honor of this, we will have a Geocaching Quinceañera!
So dress is your finest Geocaching (NON Formal) attire! There will be cake, a pinata, a gift exchange and maybe even prizes!
Date: Sunday, May 3rd
Time: 5 PM - 6PM
Where: Picnic Gazebo
Bring: Snacks and a gift to exchange.
Bring a geocaching related (cache containers, trackables, SWAG, etc) present (wrapped) to be exchanged like we do at our Annual Christmas Gift Exchanges. Each person who brings a gift will get a raffle ticket. Remember, this is NOT required! You can still come and have fun with the rest of us even if you do not bring anything.
