U Svatého Václava
Zde, poblíž Humpolecké hájovny, stávala ves Dobrá, jedna z nejstarších na Humpolecku. Ves byla umístěna u staré zemské stezky vedoucí z Čech na Moravu.
První zmínka o její existenci pochází z roku 1233, kde je uvedena v kupní smlouvě řádu německých rytířů blízkého Želivského kláštera. V roce 1371 byla ves prodána městu Humpolci, tedy jeho majitelům. 1421 byla ves Dobrá včetně kaple Sv. Kateřiny zcela zničena uherskými vojsky císaře Zikmunda při jeho křižáckém tažení do Čech. 1666 v době rekatolizace byl na troskách bývalé kaple postaven kostelík ke cti Sv. Václava. O svátku tohoto patrona sem chodilo z Humpolce procesí. 1735 spory mezi želivskou kanonií a humpolecko-heráleckou vrchností o hospodářskou správu kostelíka, stojícího na samotě, vedly nakonec k jeho úpadku. Kdy vesnice ale nadobro zmizela, není známo. Zdivo sešlo, připravené stavivo na opravu bylo odvezeno na stavbu kostelíka v Úsobí, takže bohoslužby musely být zakázány.
Déšť, mráz a prorůstající kořeny stromů, také rozkradení kamene dokončily zkázu kostela a tráva a mech zahladily místo nadobro.
K tomuto poutnímu místu se váže několik pověstí:
Stará Hrdličková z Humpolce šla jednou odpoledne k sv. Václavu do lesa na chrast. Z dlouhé chvíle si zazpívala svatou písničku, a tu se jí zjevila stará babička. Měla v ruce modlitby s růžencem a povídala Hrdličkové: "Už tu pamatuju třikrát ves a třikrát les, ale takovou píseň jsem ještě neslyšela jako dnes," a zmizela. Hrdličková leknutím zapomněla na chrast a chvátala domů.
U sv. Václava v lese bývala studánka. Nyní je už vyschlá. Když tu byla ves Dobrá, přišel ke studánce čeledín napájet koně a viděl vystupovat ze studánky zvon, jenž zazvonil a potom zase spadl do studánky.

At the St. Wenceslas
At this place, near Humpolec gamekeeper's house , used to exist a village called Dobra, one of the oldest in Humpolec region. The village was located at the old provincial road leading from Bohemia to Moravia .
The first record of its existence dates from 1233 , where it's listed in the purchase agreement of the Teutonic knights near The Zeliv monastery. In the year of 1371 the village was sold to its owners, the city of Humpolec. At 1421, the village Dobra , including the Chapel of St. Catherine was completely destroyed by the Hungarian army of Emperor Zikmund in his crusade to Bohemia . In the year of 1666, in a time of recatholisation, a church was built on top of ruins of the old chapel in honor of St. Wenceslas. During the feast of the patron a procession used to come here from Humpolec. At 1735 the disputes between Želivska diocese and Humpolecko - Herálecká nobility about economic management of the church, standing in the wilderness, eventually led to its decline. It is not known when a village disappeared for good. The walls deteriorated , the prepared material to repair the building was transported to the construction of the church in Úsobí and worshipping was banned in here.
Rain, frost and growing tree roots, but also stone stealing, helped the destruction of the church and the grass and moss have destroyed the place for good.
This pilgrimage site tells several tales :
Old woman called Hrdličková of Humpolec went one afternoon to St. Wenceslas into the forest for collecting wood. Out of boredom, she sang a sacred song, and suddenly an old grandmother supervened in front of her . In her hand, she was holding prayers and a rosary and she told Hrdličková : "I remember the village three times and three times the forest , but I have never heard a song like this " then, she disappeared. Hrdličková got scared, forgot about the wood and hurried home.
AT the St. Wenceslas used to be a water well in the forest . Now it is dry. When the village Dobra was here, a houseman came to this well to feed horses and saw a bell coming out from the well, which rang, and then fell back into the well.
