This cache introduces the church of Hausjärvi. The cache is not located in the building or the stone fence. You don't have to climb the tree and you can even get the cache from a wheelchair. The cache is small micro and it doesn't have a pen in it. BYOP!
Hausjärvi erotettiin Janakkalan emäseurakunnasta omaksi kappeliseurakunnaksi vuonna 1611, ja se itsenäistyi vuonna 1855. Hausjärven kirkko valmistui vuonna 1789. Tämän Hämeen ainoan puisen ristikirkon rakennusmestarina oli kirkonrakentaja Martti Tolpo. Hausjärven pitäjän asukkaiden velvollisuus oli tuoda rakennustarvikkeet paikalle, Hämeenlinnan- ja Porvoontien risteykseen. Hirret veistettiin Lavinnon nummen hongista. Kirkko vihittiin käyttöön vuonna 1824.
Kirkon tornissa on kolme kelloa, joista kolmas on pitäjän pienin ja vanhin, Turussa rautamalmista vuonna 1740 valettu kello. Se on ollut Hausjärven ensimmäisessä kirkossa. Toinen valmistettiin vuonna 1760 Tukholmassa. Kellot palvelivat hyvin tehtävässään, kunnes vuonna 1889 uudempi kello halkesi. Saksasta tilattiin kaksi uutta kelloa vuonna 1896. Kelloja soitettiin käsin vuoteen 1987, jolloin kellotornin kellot ja luukut automatisoitiin.
Kirkkomaa ympäröitiin kiviaidalla ensi kerran vuonna 1821, vuonna 1854 kirkkomaata laajennettiin ja rautaportit asennettiin vuonna 1866. (Lähde: Häme-Wiki)

Hausjärvi was separated from the original congregation of Janakkala to it's own chapel congregation in 1611, and it became independent in 1855. The church of Hausjärvi was completed in 1789. The construction foreman of this wooden church was church builder Martti Tolpo. It was the responsibility of the citizen of Hausjärvi to bring the building material to the crossroads of Hämeenlinna and Porvoo. The girders were carved from the pinewoods from the heathland of Lavinto. The church was consecrated in 1824.
The church tower has three bells. The third one is the smallest and the oldest, casted from iron ore in 1740 in Turku. It has been in the first church of Hausjärvi. Another one was made in 1760 in Stockholm. The bells were great in their duty until the newest bell cracked in 1889. Two new bells were ordered from Germany in 1896. The bells were rung by hand until 1957 when the bells of the church tower were automated.
The churchyard was surrounded by a stone fence for the first time in 1821. In 1854 the churchyard was expanded and iron gates were installed in 1966. (Source: Häme-wiki)
