Walk on up there to the porch. It's well worth it. 1115 Oxley. Very cool homage to a '70's classic.
This "Cinema Series" of caches celebrates local spots where iconic movies were filmed. Visit each cache in the series and you will gather coordinates to direct you to the "finale."
My apologies that while many of the caches below are wheelchair accessible, the final location is not.
Each of the five movie locations below are easy finds, with hints provided. All are either in residential neighborhoods or high muggle areas, and so are meant to be found quickly for maximum stealth. If there is any chance of muggles observing you, please move on to the next cache and come back later. This is especially true in the two quiet residential neighborhoods. The loss of one of these containers means the whole series goes down. Thank you.
Please note when the log is full. Do not replace the log. I need to write the code/coordinates on any new log.
Solve these coordinates to find the finale:
North 34 A.B West 118 C.DE
The log sheet at each cache in the series will clearly identify in red whether the coordinate clue fulfills A, B, C, D or E.
Tip: To keep paperless track of your progress, type the code into the "Personal Cache Note" above on this page. When finished with all five, the codes will be easy to retrieve fro the final.
Cinema Series:
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Sting
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
Halloween
Back to the Future
Obviously, many more movies than these were filmed in this area, but most of those spots are too close to existing geocaches or too obscure to be enjoyable. Also I didn't want this to take forever. Visiting all five requires a total trip of 15 miles, but all can be visited within an hour or so.
I have numbered them to create the most efficient route if you are hitting them all at once, but of course they can be done in any order. To keep track of your progress if you are doing these over multiple days, you can open the Finale cache page and enter a "personal geocache note," which you can save and build on as you gather all the coordinates.
