This cache is located in an old ruined sheepfold in one one of my favourite areas for a short stroll. The round trip from Low Hynam Bridge and back is about 2 miles. I've never had the misfortune of finding litter here, but should you do so, remember CITO!
The fell above Hynam is wild and beautiful and offers excellent walking, free from the usual hordes that can sometimes abound on the fells. Please note that this is an area of SSI so please keep to footpaths as much as possible. It can get very windy, and if the clouds come down, it's fairly bleak and cold. Black Grouse are occasionally to be seen, or at least the distinctive call can be heard. Deer can sometimes be spotted in the cover leading down to Low Hynam Bridge as they make their way to the river.
There are a number of good walks around this fell, which is rich in evidence of former mining.
PLEASE RE-PLACE THE CACHE CAREFULLY AND ENSURE THAT IT'S WELL HIDDEN FROM ALL ANGLES.
