Rocky Lake is impounded by Hobart Dam on Little Elk Creek in Washita County, Oklahoma and is used for drinking water purposes. It has been been there since 1933. It has a normal surface area of 347 acres. It is owned by the City Of Hobart. Hobart, also known as Rocky Lake, formerly Rocky Lake is of earthen construction. Its height is 29 feet with a length of 1950 feet. Maximum discharge is 53600 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 6340 acre feet. Normal storage is 4210 acre feet. It drains an area of 55.94 square miles. At one point in time the drinking water for Hobart, OK was collected from Rocky Lake!
