This sign was replaced at the end of 2014. I could tell you more about the new design , the history of the village or the sponsors responsible for the new sign but there are some shiny plaques explaining all of this on the sign so please allow time to read them. I could also post a photo but again I think you should go have a look for your self.
St Olaves is a small village with a charming 16th century inn on the back of the River Waveney, a restaurant in the grounds of A 13th century Augustinian priory and is a great place for hiring/mooring boats while exploring the beautiful Broads. My Lovely Wife grew up in this village and worked at some point at both the pub and restaurant.
If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
