Maison des Quatrans
La maison, dite «des Quatrans», date de la fin du XIVème, mais a été reconstruite au XVème. Il s’agit d’une demeure de notables caennais, c’est la plus ancienne maison à pans de bois encore visible à Caen. C’est Jean Quatrans qui est à l’origine de cette demeure. Il était tabellion (c’est-à-dire notaire) à Caen de 1380 à 1390.
Ses successeurs occupèrent la maison longtemps après lui. Thomas Quatrans ayant émigré en 1417 après la prise de la ville par les Anglais, la maison fut confisquée et donnée à un chevalier d’outre-Manche.
Elle fut reconstruite dans la seconde moitié du XVème.
La maison des Quatrans accueille aujourd’hui l’association Musique en Normandie, l'Institut international des Droits de l'Homme et de la Paix.
Devant l'impossibilité de placer une cache traditionnelle, je vous propose une multi-cache très simple et très rapide avec une seule étape et une boîte située à environ 165 mètres des coordonnées de départ.

The house, said " Quatrans ", dates the end of the XIVth. But was reconstructed in the XVth. It is the house about notable of Caen, it is the oldest house with framings of still visible wood in Caen. It is Jean Quatrans who is at the origin of this house. He was a notary in Caen from 1380 till 1390.
His successors occupied the house much later he. Thomas Quatrans having emigrated into 1417 after the grip of the city by the English people, the house was seized and given to an english knight.
It was reconstructed in the second half of the XVth.
The house of Quatrans welcomes the Music association in Normandy, the international Institute of Human Rights and the Peace today.
In front of the impossibility to place a traditional geocache, I propose you a very simple and very fast multi-cache with a single stage and a box situated at approximately 165 meters of the coordinates of departure.
