I once had a physical cache near this location, but it kept on going missing. I really wanted to bring people back to this spot, so I decided to make this a virtual stage. I know that this stage can be "google" but you would be missing out on something special. The second stage is another virtual stage, with third stage being the final.
Central Public School is on Hunter Street, behind City Hall in Hamilton's downtown. Central is the oldest multi-room elementary school in Canada. The school carries with it a very proud heritage spanning over 150 years, involving many of Hamilton's prestigious families and important public figures who aided in the development of the City Of Hamilton.
Central Public School was built in 1853, and was the largest graded school in Upper Canada, and became the only public school in Hamilton, at the time of its opening in 1853. The building's original final proportioned classical design, by the firm Cumberland & Ridout. His alterations, including a steeply pitched roof, certain round arched windows and a heightened central tower, created an edifice in comformity with the late Victorian tastes. The building is designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.
