Geocache Description:

This event will take place at the event grounds where the Texas Challenge will take place. We will start the event at 4:30 PM between the turn in of score cards at 2:00 and the awards portion at 5:30. That gives you 2.5 hours after the challenge to get some food and make your way back to the event grounds. It also gives us an hour for the meet and greet.

Do you ever sit and wonder how cachers complete the Texas County Challenge, GCRX6F?? Come by and meet the finishers of this great challenge. Ask some questions, pick some brains and catch the bug! This is a quickly growing community of cachers that have finished this monster of a cache and we would love for you to join us at the finish line! Learn how some cachers mapped out special county runs, found out how many counties they had completed already, and how you can quickly be on your way to finishing this epic journey for a 'found it' log.

2014 has been the year of finishers! There have been 18 finishers this year, with 16 new finishers to this epic challenge since last years event in Bastrop. Come to the event, say hello and put a face to the caching names you see all over this great state! You can congratulate all of the new finishers, and also chat up some of the veteran cachers who were among the first to finish this challenge. This year set some records: like youngst cacher to finish this Challenge Nosirrah52 (8 years old). He is also the cacher to do it in the least amount of caches so far (540 caches). LolosDream, she is the cacher to do it in the least amount of time so far (317 days). These are great records set by some dedicated cachers!

The giant state of Texas county map will be back for finishers that have yet to sign the front! All finishers that attended last years event will get to sign it again, on the back!

As with all events this one is open to the masses. If you attend the event, you can submit an attended log on the cache page. Everyone is welcome to the event, not just finishers of the TCC.
