The Church, a grade two listed building, has parts dating back nearly 900 years -the walls of the present chancel and nave and the timber structure of the belfry date from 1138. Many alterations have taken part in each of the 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
At the starting co-ordinates you will find a date on the right hand gate (when looking froom outside the churchyard), convert this from roman numerals to a 4 digit decimal number - ABCD
between the gate and the church there is a path with some trees on one or more sides.
E = number of trees on the right of the path
F = number of trees on the left of the path
