rvstauff: QR codes are weathered and missing. Time to say goodbye. This was a really cool cache concept.

Geocache Description:

Mint Hill has a new shopping center! Guess what that means? More room for caches! Now, what to place? A skirt-lifter on a Lamp Post? No way. Let's try something different.

***FOR THIS CACHE, IT IS INTENDED YOU USE A SMART PHONE WITH A QR CODE READER.***

You can get a free QR Reader from your app store.

I have also left coordinates for all stages onsite if you want to go old-school. However, that's no fun - try the QRs!

Here's how this works:

You start at the posted coordinates and look for a "QR" code to scan. Follow the web address to see a picture. That picture was taken where you are standing, showing you where you look next. You will find another code to scan. Follow that process until you get to the final. It shouldn't take that long!

Enjoy your little tour of Mint Hill Commons. Please note that you will have to cross a few lanes in the parking lot. Obviously, please aware of your surroundings and be careful of cars!

Let's test this out! Below is a QR code similar to what you will find on site. Scan the below code and see if you get a picture:
Greater Charlotte Geocaching Club

You should get the below picture:

Greater Charlotte Geocaching Club

All the pictures show exactly where to look next with a red arrow and a text description just as above. All QR Codes are visible and not concealed. No need to move anything to find the codes.

Now, do you see those numbers under the QR code? Those are old-school coordinates for any of you who don't want to download a QR code reader or do not have a smartphone. I know there are some of you out there... You can use those two numbers to find the next "stage" of this multicache. The numbers are always in the format XXX/YYY. The coordinates of the next stage are 35° 10.XXX', 80° 39.YYY'. Soooo, based on the numbers under the QR code, the first stage can be found at 35° 10.185', 80° 39.593'. Got it? Good.

Have fun!
