2010,
L’office de Tourisme de Brive-la-Gaillarde a axé sa campagne de
communication sur le symbole de la moustache en incitant les Brivistes et
amoureux de Brive à réveiller le Gaillard qui était en eux.
L’idée était de proposer aux visiteurs et aux locaux une identification
singulière « au gaillard briviste », fier de ses traditions, simple et
chaleureux avec un caractère bien trempé et d’arborer fièrement la
moustache symbole de liberté et d’originalité.
En guise de clin d’œil à nos voisins et amis corréziens, voici donc une
cache placée sous le signe de la moustache.
Mais avant d’atteindre la belle, il vous faudra dénouer cette énigme UN
POIL pernicieuse...
La
boîte
est de taille nano sans crayon. Prévoyez une pince à épiler
Merci de la replacer bouchon en bas et EXACTEMENT OU VOUS L'AUREZ
TROUVEE pour maintenir le T4,5.

Pourquoi
"VERT" ?
Ma première cache posée (GC3VHY2)
était une boîte verte, avec un stylo vert, un log book vert et des
objets d'échange verts. Ainsi est née l'idée de placer les caches qui
ont suivi sous le signe du "VERT" et de proposer un défi consistant à
y déposer de préférence des objets "VERTs". Ce défi ne peut
malheureusement pas concerner les caches de taille nano ou micro.

Since 2010, The tourist
office of Brive-la-Gaillarde centred it's advertising campaign on the
symbol of the mustache by inciting inhabitants and friends of Brive to
wake the strapping lad who was in them.
The idea was to propose to the visitors and to the inhabitants a singular
identification " to the strapping lad briviste ", proud of its traditions,
simple and warm with a sturdy character and to raise proudly the mustache
symbol of freedom and originality.
As a wink to our neighbours and Corrèze friends, here is a
hiding geocache placed under the sign of the mustache.
But before grabbing it, you will have to solve this riddle a
little pernicious...
The
box is a micro size one without pen. Bring tweezers.

Why "VERT" ?
My
first
geocache ( GC3VHY2) was a green box, with a green pen, a green log book
and green items for exchange. So was born the idea to place the caches
which followed under the sign of the "VERT" ("GREEN" in French) and to
propose a game consisting in depositing there rather "VERT" objects.
This game cannot unfortunately concern the caches in nano or micro size.

Turgot - Patrimoine du XXe siècle
En 1895 s’ouvre à Limoges une École Pratique de Commerce et
d’Industrie qui deviendra l‘École Nationale Professionnelle. En 1960,
l’établissement est transformé en lycée technique d’État puis prend la
dénomination de lycée Turgot.
En 1912 la Ville confie à l’architecte Jules Godefroy la construction de
l'externat, dans un style Art Déco typique du XXe siècle, ce qui lui
vaut d'être inscrit au label « Patrimoine
du XXe siècle ». En 1920, Michel Roux-Spitz, Prix de Rome, est
l’architecte des travaux de l'internat. Un bas-relief représentant saint
Éloi et Dagobert Ier est sculpté sur un mur de l'internat. A
l’intérieur, un mur du réfectoire est orné d’une fresque polychrome de
Louis Bouquet réalisée en 1938, allégorie de l’éducation mettant
idéalement en relation les activités manuelles et intellectuelles.
Courant 2011, un appel au mécénat avait été entrepris pour la
récupération et le retour de huit vitraux de l'abbaye de Conques vers le
Limousin. Après avoir illuminé l’abbatiale de conques, ils ont en effet
été déposés pour laisser la place à une commande d’Etat de Pierre
Soulages. Ces œuvres ont été dessinées par un enfant du pays, Pierre
Parot (professeur de dessin d'Art à l’École Nationale Professionnelle),
entre 1942 et 1953 et réalisés par Francis Chigot, maître verrier
Limougeaud. Aujourd'hui, la boucle est bouclée . Après une petite
rénovation , les vitraux ont été installés au Lycée Turgot en octobre
2013, rejoignant ainsi ses œuvres qui ornent le hall de l'entrée
et autres lieux du bâtiment .

Lycée Turgot - Heritage of the 20th century
In 1895 opens in Limoges a practical school for business and industry
which will become the National Professional School. In 1960, the school is
transformed into state technical high school then takes the name of
High School Turgot.
In 1912 the City entrusts to the architect Jules Godefroy the
construction of the day school, in a typical style "Art Déco" of the 20th
century, what worth to it being registered on the label "
Heritage of the 20th century ". In 1920, Michel Roux-Spitz, Prix
de Rome, is the architect of the internship. A bas-relief
representing Saint Éloi and Dagobert the 1st is sculptured on a wall of
the internship. Inside, a wall of the dining hall is decorated with a
Louis Bouquet's polychromatic fresco realized in 1938, allegory of the
education putting ideally in relation the manual and intellectual
activities.
In 2011, an appeal to the sponsorship had been undertaken for
the recovery and the return of eight stained-glass windows of the abbey of
Conques towards Limousin. Having illuminated the abbey church of Conques,
they were indeed deposited to make way for a state order of Pierre
Soulages. These works were drawn by a son of the Limousin, Pierre Parot
(art teacher of Art at the Professional National School), between 1942 and
1953 and realized by Francis Chigot, master glazier Limougeaud. Today, the
circle is completed. After a small renovation, stained-glass windows
were settled at the High School Turgot in October, 2013, so joining
its works which decorate the hall of the entrance and other places of the
building.
