Some snippets of conversations I've had with my friends over the phone recently:
Me to Donald: "Well, wait a second - don't you see? That's 555-FILK."
Me to Kevin: “The only difference between you and Jenny is that you have a beard, you like biking, and she hates beer. Ok, well I guess that’s three differences. But at least you’re both obsessed with Tolkien! Don’t change your number – she’s your sister. You can make it work.”
Me to Geoff: “Here are my top 5 favorite months. 1: October. 2: September. 3: May. 4: April. 5: December.”
Me to Scarlett: “It’s obvious, really. A bit too obvious if you ask me. I mean, c’mon, right out in the open like that? Did you really think it would be that easy? Just spelled out for you in plain sight? Gimme a break.”
Me to Katie: “I swear, there’s such a divide between us when we talk on the phone that sometimes I think I’ll have to call 911.”
Me to Greg: “Oh, let me add one more thing – call Janine Melnitz, she’ll be able to help you. But call her at work, I don’t think she’s home right now. Don’t worry, she answers the phones over there.”
Me to Ryan: “It’s been a while since you took a math class? It’s ok, I’ll make it easy for you. Start with the prime factors of your zip code. The summation of those factors plus the last four digits of your phone number gives you the inverse of the tangent of the number you need.”
