Georgia Geo-Campers and the Georgia Geocachers Association are teaming up again in January.
Seminole State Park has something very special and the Georgia Geo-Campers are offering you a chance to be a part of it.
Treehouse Camping!! Yep, this state park offers a special treetop enclosed shelter so we have reserved it for our first camp out of 2015.
You are invited to camp out with us and experience this rare and our first time treehouse camping experience. To reserve a space in the treehouse, simply note in your 'will-attend' log you will be camping with us.
The camping fee is $15 per couple/family for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). Sleeping bags, air mattresses or blanket pallets only. No tents allowed inside the treehouse. The park manager is allowing us to also pitch tents on the ground or hammock camp in this area for those folks who aren't comfortable sharing sleeping arrangements in the Treehouse. Hammock campers should bring tripods just in case they are needed. The Treehouse area is primitive style camping. Please bring your own water. Pit privy available on site and we are authorized to use the comfort stations in the regular campground.
Prefer a traditional campground with your RV, tent, etc? Make your reservations via the
Seminole State Park website for their regular campground. No matter of your preference for camping, you're always welcome to join us with our scheduled activities. Please join us for our Saturday night event whether you camp out or not.
Schedule of Activities:
5 PM Meet and Greet with some Stone Soup (bring something to add to the big pot for soup making)
6 PM Bonfire with s'mores (we supply the s'mores)
7 PM GG-C Activities -> announcements, give-a-ways, including the Jackpot Camper Drawing (bring unactivated trackables to participate)
8-9:30 PM Campfire Games: be prepared for a few surprises! Bring your favorite trading item/personal swag to participate in our first ever Bear Hunt.
NOTE: Enter the park and follow the signs to the Treehouse/Primitive campground.
We encourage pictures of the "fun" at any of our camping events and hope to see them posted with your "attended" log.
See our profile page for more information about the
Georgia Geo-Campers and up coming camp outs.
There is a $5 gate fee if you don't have a park pass to enter the State Park.
