The North York Central Librarsy is one of two Research and Reference Libraries in the Toronto Public LIbrary system. It hosts a large number of special collections in ADDITION to a normal library collection.
Situated in a mall the library has the fun of having public walkways divide the building in half. This makes for some wonderful people watching. The library is also located next to Mel Lastman square. I can remember sitting in a meeting in the lower hall and paying more attention to the people outside then the speaker inside.
When placed, the ice was almost ready for skating in the square.
The buildings surrounding the square and the ice rink/fountain in the square make for lots of people traffic at any given time. Lunchtime in good weather is especially busy. Time your visit carefully and good luck.
