A big circle has been painted on the side of a big rock on a mid peak in the Hummingbird trail area. My wife and I have been painting it over (three times now) over the last 25 years. This last paint over only lasted one year so we thought we work with the Community this time and get some help. Its a great hike to the top (it is steep and fairly hard).
We will leaving the Parking area at 7:00 am and it takes about 1 hour to hike to the top. We'll be cleaning up trash on the way down.
As a reward for you brave souls, we decided it can't be just a couple of 1's type cache's to give you, sooooooooo we will be taking you through 3 of the four Caves for "Serpents Cave 4/4"and start at the end of "Serpents Cave 2" and back track to the remaining three on that one. You'll get to log a find on two hard cave hikes and only have to do one hike to get them (way down much easier!)
We will supply everything we will need to paint, you supply the smiles and snacks/water for yourself. We'll be done before noon, that is unless we find new caves to explore on the way down.
A extra reward will be after the painting, I'll guide you to the "Nets" a place some have gone since the 1970's, it's gotten Graffitied since the 90's but in this small area I've left alone and will leave alone. It's a great overview of the back Canyon area. The kids who paint this have left the area's we do alone for the most part so in this case I leave there's alone here.
