This is the location of the abandoned Villa Nova Baptist Cemetery.
It was vandalized in 1932-33. Some broken stones at front and rear of cemetery can still be found scattered around. Salvageable stones were moved to Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford.
Some of the remaining stones can be located at the waypoints provided. A pile of some stones can be found in the South West back corner of the plot of land.
A quick internet search about this cemetery does not reveal too much information. I will be in the archives again soon and will post more info as I find it.
I have found a list of three names that were interred here but I assume there were many more. ERWIN, Ellen J.
ERWIN, Mary
ERWIN, Robert
When you first park you will notice on the east side of the road that there is an old stone school circa 1871 that has been re-purposed as a lovely home. Please respect their privacy but admire the beauty of this gracious building from the road.
If you find more headstones or bases, please feel free to send me the coords and I will add them as reference points.
