A long time ago, when the Monaro Hwy was still in its infancy, and the trees were short, there was a lookout here! With nice views over the southern parts of Canberra! However, over the years, the trees grew, the views were obscured, and there were too many car accidents with people pulling off the road to get to the lookout!
Given all that, the Government decided to close the lookout, in fact bypass it completely! So, now, it is long forgotten! The information plaques have been removed, the road has been blocked off, and it has been scrubbed from the maps. BUT! The lookout is still there! - So, in hope of a few people discovering it, I have planted this cache!
Once it gets to 1000 finds, I will send the log to the ACT government and ask for the lookout to be re-established! Please assist in this endeavour!
