Vous êtes au départ du chemin Urbain V. C’est un chemin de randonnée (GR 670 de 325 km) qui est doublé d’un «géo-tour» pour les chercheurs de «trésors» dont cette boite est la première. Cet itinéraire retrace la vie et l’œuvre de Guillaume de Grimoard natif de Grizac (48) devenu pape sous le nom d'Urbain V. Il démarre de Nasbinals passe au Monastier Pin Moriès où il fut ordonné prêtre, à Mende où il fit construire une cathédrale monumentale, à Quézac (collégiale), à Bédoués (collégiale et tombeau de famille), à Grizac qui est son lieu de naissance, à St Germain de Calberte où il créa un studium (ancêtre du séminaire), à Uzès où il fut vicaire général et enfin à Avignon ou il fut pape.

Here you are on the hiking path of Urbain V (or just right next to the way). This long-distance hiking path GR670 (320km) is as well a “geotour” for geocachers seeking for a treasure. This container is a part of the tour. This way shows the life and the work of Guillaume de Grimoard, born in Grizac (48), who became Pope “Urbain V” in 1362! Starting Point is in Nasbinals (on St James Path GR 65) afterwards passing by Monastier Pin Moriès, here he had became priest, then passing by Mende, where the cathedral was built, then Quezac, then Bedoues (sepulcher of the family), Grizac (birthplace), ST. Germain de Calberte (creation of seminary), Uzès, where he became vicar-general and last but not least Avignon, where he became Pope.
