Geocache Description:

* Cache was returned to its location on 03/17/2010. * Unfortunately the name of this cache tells it all...we had to move this stash from its original location (Rock Eagle Repose) because there is a sign telling would-be cachers that the trail leading to the Repose location is off-limits except to "registered guests". But what a great place it was...

Anyway...the new location is basically next to the eagle monument, northward down the hill. Since it is hidden in a hole in the ground and covered with sticks and leaves there is not much in the way of clues to be told other than to say it is near some felled trees. The spoiler gives a key clue which you may want to use if you get stuck.

Please keep the smaller container tightly enclosed within the outer container to protect it against moisture, and replace the sticks/leaves so the stash is not too visible. There is a very good chance that other people may be present in the area (e.g., viewing the monument) so you must be cautious in order to remain undetected. One alternative is to park along the road at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the cache site.

Apologies to anyone who may have tried to find the original Repose cache after it was moved, but we chose to do the right thing by complying with the wishes of the property owner (the University of Georgia). After all, we don't want to generate a bad reputation for geocachers. But if someone out there has any political clout with UGA, maybe you can get us clearance to use the trails for our activities.

Happy hunting from Bubba & Allison...
