This is a nice spot that can be included in a circular walk about the area, to include several nearby caches.
Deer can often be spotted in the fields and nearby woodland. These fields seem to have a three stage year...wheat/barley then onto being used for sheep to graze and finally to being used to grow winter feed.
There is a stone pillar around 6 feet tall across the field towards the woods....no idea what that was used for!
There are many parking spots on the minor roads about the area. DO NOT attempt to park on the nearby A417 dual-carriageway.
