The Church of St Mary Magdalene in Stoke Canon is relatively modern, having been extensively rebuilt in 1836. The oldest part of the structure is the West tower that is much earlier and dates to the latter part of the 15th Century. I recommend a trip inside if possible to view the rather spectacular Norman Font and the ends of some of the pews that are thought to be medieval in origin. The church is Grade I listed.
This cache is not within the church grounds but does look over it. There are a couple of houses fairly close to the cache site but neither are looking directly at it. There is a primary school nearby so GZ can get busy for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. You are looking for a small plastic tube.
