Le château de Rochechouart est l'attraction majeure de la ville de Rochechouart, avec son église au clocher tors. On a l'habitude de le contempler depuis la place du château (au waypoint)), ou depuis les allées à l'arrière. Mais les Rochechouartais connaissent un autre point de vue facile d'accès, d'où ils viennent contempler le feu d'artifice sur le plan d'eau au 14 juillet.
Ce chemin, nommé "le chemin des Remparts", est très apprécié mais peu fréquenté. C'est pourtant le seul endroit du bourg d'où on peut voir le petit lac au loin, la vallée de la Graine au bas, et le château du côté le moins accessible et interdit au public, et à mon avis, le plus impressionnant.
J'espère sincèrement que vous apprécierez le point de vue. N'oubliez pas de visiter le centre du bourg, il regorge de jolis détails historiques.

The "Château de Rochechouart" is the centre of attraction in the little city of Rochechouart (also is its church with turning limp). People usually see this impressive castle from the place (waypoint), or from the paths behind it. But the inhabitants of Rochechouart know another point of view, easy of access, where they use to contemplate the fireworks during the national holiday, on July 14th.
This path, "the road of ramparts", is not very busy, and yet, it's the only way to see at the same time the little lake far off, the valley of the Graine, and the castle, on its side the less approachable and not open to the public, and the most impressive one, in my opinion.
I hope you'll enjoy this point of view. Don't forget to visit the center of this little town, there's a lot of historic details.
