Châtillon-la-Palud est une commune située à la fois dans le lit de la rivière d'Ain et sur le plateau de la Dombes. Cette cache est située sur les hauteurs, à proximité de l'église Saint-Irénée. C'est une église gothique du XIII ou XIVème siècle, classée monument historique. La façade date du XIXème siècle (elle a été refaite suite à un incendie). On y trouve de nombreuses statues en pierre datant de la fin du XV / début du XVIème siècle.
En plus de cet édifice, vous pourrez profiter d'une magnifique vue sur la plaine de l'Ain, sur la ville d'Ambérieu-en-Bugey, et sur le relief du Bugey juste derrière cette ville.

Châtillon-la-Palud is a town located both in the bed of the Ain river and on the plateau of the Dombes. This cache is located on the heights, near the Church of St Irénée. It is a gothic church of the thirteenth or fourteenth century, listed historical building. The facade dates from the nineteenth century (it was rebuilt after a fire). There are many stone statues dating from the late fifteenth / early sixteenth century.
In addition to this building, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the plain of Ain, on Ambérieu-en-Bugey, and the relief of Bugey just behind the city.
