The Red Coats are Coming!!! Traditional Geocache

This is our very first time my family placed a geocache.  It was so much fun and we can't wait to place more.  We hope to bring people to a beautiful and historic site.

This is a small sized official geocache case.  It is big enough to hold travel bugs and some trinkets.  We have left several trinkets for others to trade.  It is our first geocaching hide!  You can find it in an official historic Revolutionary war site in River Vale, NJ.  In memory of American soldiers killed during the Revolutionary War in the 'Baylor Massacre' on September 28, 1778. Lt. Col. George Baylor's 3rd Regiment of Continental Dragoons took quarters for the night on several nearby farms. Tories betrayed their presence to a British force who surrounded the Dragoons during the night. A number of Americans were killed or wounded after they surrendered.
