This cartridge will take you on an historical tour of Burgh castle, please take your time exploring the area and fully appreciate its historical significance. You will visit all of the notice boards around the site answering a question at each stage before heading off to find the Geocache. The posted coordinates are for the entrance to the car park this is open during daylight hours.
This is designed to be an introduction to a wherigo, all you have to do is navigate to the various information boards and answer a question at each stage to be able to progress to the next. All of the questions are multiple choice eliminating any issues inputting characters into your device. When you have successfully answered all of the questions you can navigate to the cache and sign the log. The route is 2Km long and along well-worn paths, there are two sets of steps to contend with but these can be navigated around if necessary.
To play this cartridge you will need one of the following;-
Certain models of the Garmin Colorado, Oregon or Nuvi GPS
An iOS device (GPS enabled) such as the i phone/Pad running the wherigo app
An android device (GPS enabled) running the WhereYouGo app.
How to download the cartridge
Please follow these instructions on how to install the cartridge, this is the method used for my android phone hopefully this will be of some help for those of you that have never played a Wherigo before.
Download the cartridge here to your PC, click on the download icon below the image on the left of the webpage, you will be required to log in with your geocaching username and password to proceed. Click on the pull down menu to select your device, for an iOS or android decide select Pocket PC device, Download this file.
Ensure you have downloaded the relevant app and connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable. Open your ‘computer’ file on the PC and find your device open this file to view all of the folders on your phone. You should have a folder with the same name as the app you have downloaded, locate the downloaded file and copy & paste this straight into the app folder.
Disconnect you phone and open the app, when you select ‘start’ the cartridge should now be displayed ready to play.
