A family walk to an interesting location were you have a splendid vieuw over de area. Total time of this walk to the Rocher Gozzi and back to the parking is about 3 hours.
Rocher de Gozzi
This rock is a red granite rock that stands out of val de Gravone
Start your hike from the parking place. Open the little gate and take the path to the left. You will cross a lot of plants like wild lavendel, immortel, arbusier, bruyere and so on. Leave all the plants there because it is a protected area. Make some stops and enjoy the vieuw.
A long time ago you had here several counts. They were could the counts of la Cinarca. Each one has his one castle. The remains of one of these castles can be found on the Rocher de Gozzi. The small path was the “main”road to the castle.
When you are at the top and look around you can see the airport, harbor of ajaccio. On the other site you can see the relief of Monte Cinto (the highest mountain fo Corsica), Monte Rotonde (the second highest mountain).
When plains are arriving to the airport you are higher then these plains, an experience for kids!
Take enough water with you and protect yourself from the sun
