Geocache Description:

“Get your towels ready it's about to go down
Everybody in the place hit the deck
But stay on your toes
We runnin this, let's go”

There are many ways to celebrate the summer but our connection to and enjoyment of the water is a time honored tradition.  In the warmer months we flock to the beaches and marinas to swim, dive, fish, water ski, snorkel and enjoy the hypnotic allure of the water.  As fall arrives and the weather gets cold we shift from water sports to more land based activities.  The weekend of Labor Day is the traditional end of summer and last weekend the marina is open thus I thought it would be fun for us to get together and enjoy the water one last time.

Location: Shawnee Mission Park Marina

Date: Saturday August 30th

Time: 10:30 AM

Requirements:  You must get close to the posted coordinates in the lake, no logging from the shore except in the event of a rainout or you're javthrowr.

The marina has a covered shelter above the rental office for those who wish to only watch or take pictures.  This will also serve as our rain out contingency meeting spot (after all there will still be water everywhere).
