[SV] Få platser är som Stensjö By. Här känns det som om tiden stått stilla. Grusvägen slingrar sig genom en klunga hus som andas en svunnen tid. Som mest hade Stensjö 176 invånare men en ny tid var i antågande med industrialisering och utvandring. Jordbruket var inte längre den enda försörjningen och byn avfolkades. Men tvärt emot så många andra platser ödelades inte Stensjö helt.
Idag lyser byggnaderna röda med nylagda tak av spån och tegel. Åkrarna plöjs, i hagarna betar kor, får och hästar och på bygatan kommer ladugårdskatterna till mötes.

Stensjö By är ett levande kulturminne som brukas och underhålls av anställd personal. En av dem bor i byn med sin familj. Det finns därför privata platser så tänk på att visa hänsyn. Vänligen parkera bilen på de utsedda parkeringsplatser! Med några få undantag kan alla cacher lätt nås från vägar och stigar som visas på kartan. Undantagen kommer att ha rekommenderade vägval för att nå ground zero.
Observera att stora delar av Stensjö By består av ängar där djur betar. Visa hänsyn och stör djuren så lite som möjligt. Tveka inte för att komma tillbaka en annan gång för hitta cacher. [EN] Few places are like Stensjö By. It feels here as though time has stood still. The gravel road winds through a group of houses that stand sentinel over times past. At most, Stensjö had 176 inhabitants, but a new day was dawning, bringing industrialization and emigration. Farming was no longer the only livelihood and the village was depopulated. But unlike so many other communities, Stensjö was not completely abandoned.
Today, the houses are fresh and red, with new roofs of wood slats and tiles. The fields are ploughed, cattle, sheep and horses graze in the pastures, and farmyard cats come to meet us on the village road.
Geocaching in Stensjö By
Stensjö By is a living monument, farmed and tended by hired staff. One of them lives in the village with his family, so there is private property here. Please park your car at the designated parking area! With a few exceptions all geocaches are easily reachable from the shown roads and hicking trails on the map. A recommendation to approach ground zero is added to the listing, if this exceptionally does not apply.
Please be aware, that main parts of Stensjö By are meadows, where you can meet small and big animals. Please show consideration and avoid to approach or flush the animals on the meadows. Do not hesitate to come back at a later date to find the cache. Do not pick any flowers or break twigs, only light a fire in designated places and please keep your dog on a lead. [DE] Stensjö By ist ein ganz besonderer Ort. Es scheint, als sei die Zeit hier stehen geblieben. Zwischen den Häusern des Dorfes schlängelt sich ein Schotterweg hindurch. In Stensjö lebten bis zu 176 Menschen. Aber um 1900 brachen neue Zeiten an, geprägt von Industrialisierung, neuen Versorgungsmöglichkeiten und Auswanderung. Das Dorf entvölkerte sich. Doch im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Orten verfiel Stensjö nicht ganz.
Heute erstrahlen die neu gedeckten Gebäude wieder in Rot. Die Äcker werden gepflügt, auf den Weiden grast Vieh, und auf der Dorfstraße begrüßen Katzen die Besucher.
Geocaching in Stensjö By
Stensjö By ist ein lebendiges Kulturdenkmal, welches von Angestellten bewirtschaftet und Instandgehalten wird. Einer der Mitarbeiter lebt mit seiner Familie im Dorf, so dass nicht alle Bereiche öffentlich zugänglich sind. Bitte parkt das Auto auf dem ausgewiesenen Parkplatz! Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen sind sämtliche Geocaches von den auf der Landkarte verzeichneten Wegen und Wanderpfaden gut erreichbar. Sollte dies nicht zutreffen, wird im Listing gesondert darauf hingewiesen und eine Wegempfehlung beigefügt.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass große Bereiche von Stensjö By eine offene Weidefläche ist, auf dem Vieh anzutreffen ist. Bitte gehen sie die Tiere aus dem Weg und vermeiden sie es sie unnötig aufzuscheuchen. Kommen Sie gegebenenfalls zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt zurück, um den Cache zu suchen.
