Unikatni zulovy skalni utvar se nachazi severne od obce Javorna, ktera je ve spravnim uzemi Bochovska.
Osamoceny balvan je nazornou ukazkou selektivniho zvetravani zul. Viklan Dominik je 3,5 m dlouhy a
1,5 m siroky. Ma zvetravaci plochu, kterou tvori zrnity porfyricky bioticky granit nalezici ke karlovarskemu plutonu. Ten je rozdelen oherskym riftem na severni cast v Krusnych horach a jizni cast ve Slavkovskem lese. Plast tvori proterozoicke a staropaleozoicke metamorfity. Odhad hloubky intreze je 5-7 km. Plutonem je oznacovano velke teleso prevazne kyseleho magmatickeho puvodu zastoupeno granity nachazejici se vetsinou v hloubinach zemske kury.
Viklany patri k napadnym a vzacnym formam reliefu krajiny a zaslouzi si nejen nasi pozornost ale i ochranu. Podle historickych zaznamu byl v minulosti vyhledavan jako cil vyletu jiz od 18. stoleti. Dokazuji to vysekane napisy s letopocty na plose kamene. Zaroven prameny uvadi, ze byval viklan v letech minulych mene stabilni nez je tomu dnes a pri vetsich poryvech vetru se kyval.
Prirodni pamatkou byl vyhlasen v roce 1979 a celkova jeji vymera cini 0,02 ha. Vyvoj viklanu je spojovan s procesy selektivniho zvetravani a odnosu horniny. Na horni casti muzeme videt zajimavy jev - skalni misu.
V okoli viklanu se vyvinuly zejmena hnede pudy - kysela varieta kambizeme typicke a kambizem dystricka. Travni porost obsahuje prevazne druhy kratko - stebelnatych rostlin jako napr. psinecek rozkladity, zvonek okrouhlolisty a lnice kvetel. Na pasekach roste ostruzinik, malinik a hojne se tu vyskytuje vrbka uzkolista.

The unique rock formation is located north of the village Javorna, in the administrative teritory of Bochov.
Dominik is 3.5 m long, 1.5 m wide and 2 m high biotic-porphyritic granite stone. According to historical records it was popular tourist destination since the 18th century. This information prove carved inscriptions with dates on the surface of the stone.
The stone was declared as a natural monument in 1979 with total area of 0.02 hectares. Rocking stone itself and the whole basal weathering area is formed by medium-grained and coarse-grained, partly porphyritic granite, which belongs to the Karlovy Vary pluton. The development of balanced rocks is associated with the processes of selective weathering and erosion of rocks. An important factor for the development of balanced rocks is the block or spherical cleavage.
In the surroundings of balanced rock was developed acid brown soil - variety of typic and dystric cambisol. The grassland around mostly consist of short - stalk pastures plants.
The stone is easily accesible by the marked hiking trail.
Due to the collision of our earthcache and an older unknown cache on the map, you will find the stone itself as well as the information table with answers on the waypoint!
