Geocache Description:

Just off the Skyline Trail in the Gatineau Hills

This cache was originally called the "Skyline Trail Audiocache" because it contained a small tape recorder for people to leave voice logs. This tape recorder has been removed because it stopped working. The voice logs are online; I've put in QR codes that lead you directly to the MP3s.

From P7 (free parking) you can expect to walk 5km in somewhat hilly terrain. Do the whole loop; there is a good lookout at the far end, and the back half is nice too.

The cache is easy to find except that its colour doesn't stand out. It is a military ammunition box standing in the open, right beside a big rock. In the past, someone hung a blinder type of thing on a nearby branch and put the old cache info sheet (in a ziploc bag) in there. That is not the cache! But it can help you find it. It's about 2m away.

When visiting, please use common sense to ensure cache survival: Don't be obvious if there are people about, and make sure it is totally hidden again, and sealed up waterproof. This means the sealing surfaces need to be clean and unobstructed. Do not leave anything edible.

Enjoy!
