MaxB’s 1000 Finds the REALLY HARD way Challenge. Mystery Cache

This cache is NOT at the listed Coordinates. Review the Final Waypoint.

You must successfully complete the “Challenge” prior to finding and logging the final cache. DO NOT come sign long in hopes of “someday” completing the challenge.   Finds on this cache, which do not have documentation of completing the Challenge will be deleted.

It is a significant accomplishment to attain over 1000 cache finds. A couple of years we placed our “MaxB’s 1000 Find the Hard way” GC3N7V4 which has been completed by 28 cachers.  However, here is a challenge that only the really seasoned road warriors will be able to accomplish.  1000 finds spread over a diverse number of places. As shown below it will involve caching in at least 100 different counties.

The Challenge can be met in ANY of the following ways:

At least 1 Cache Finds in each of 1000 different US Counties.
At least 2 Cache Finds in each of 500 different US Counties.
At least 5 Cache Finds in each of 200 different US Counties.
At least 10 Cache Finds in each of 100 different US Counties.
 

All past cache finds count (except locationless).  You can document this by capturing your US County Map statistics using GSAK, posting a bookmark, or any other way we can confirm your accomplishment.  Be sure to set the map colors to break at the respective level you are using so we can see what you have accomplished.

The difficulty terrain for this cache is based on the Challenge to accomplish it.  The final hide is a 1.5 / 1.5.  To claim this find: 1st complete the challenge, 2nd come sign log in final, 3rd log your find.  We don’t want to field questions about signing now in case we might complete requirements next summer. Logs indicating physical portion of challenge is not yet complete will be deleted (It is OK to post note documentation that you have completed the required Contiguous Counties, and are awaiting opportunity to come find final and sign log.)

We don’t want anyone to strike out and DNF on the final after accomplishing the challenge. If you contact us when you are coming to attempt final, we can verify cache is present and maybe even join you to celebrate completing this difficult challenge.
 

For those who wonder about such things, we have accomplished the requirements of this challenge.  Our posted US county map shows we have found at least 1 cache in over 1500 counties, at least 2 finds on over 1000 counties, and at least 10 finds in over 210 counties.
