This small series of caches takes you on a loop of about 3.5 miles between Grindsbrook Booth (Edale itself), Upper Booth and Barber Booth. Most of the cache containers are either small clip-boxes or micro tube-style containers. None of them have pens in, so you will need to bring your own.
None of the caches are in dry stone walls, so please do not look in any.
While you're walking around the loop, don't forget to look around you. This series is set in a beautiful valley, and the views alone are well worth the walk. It would be great to see photos on the logs! If you're feeling particularly adventurous, there are a couple of my 'Oh Noe' mini-series set very close to the route of this series.
History
The Pennine Way starts close to a former smithy which has stood here since 1577. It now forms the top of the main square in Edale village, and is a popular congregating point for hikers setting off on a walk along the Pennine Way.
The Cache
This is a fairly easy one to start with, but be wary of muggles as it can get quite busy around here, especially at weekends. There are two benches here, which you may wish to sit at while contemplating the cache location...
Please replace the cache exactly as found. Don't forget to bring a pen along, as there isn't one in the cache, and you do need to sign the log to claim a find.
