Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you to Ritchies Bushland Reserve. A nice little spot to explore a patch of natural bush surrounded by farms.

Access to the entrance can be a bit difficult to spot and easily missed. My suggestion would be to approach from Korumburra. After you go past the timber yard, there is a left hand bend in the highway. Slow down after this bend and look out for the entrance on your left, just before the highway bends back to the right. If approaching from Leongatha side, might be safer to go past the entrance then turn around at Korumburra South Rd (where the timber yard is).

Once you park the car, head along the track into a large, reasonably open area. The entrance to the track leading down to the creek can be difficult to spot, so a waypoint reference has been provided. Be careful heading down as it can be a bit slippery after rain or in the wetter months. You won't need to go all the way to the creek to find the cache, but it is worth going down for a bit of a look. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, and their burrows. Wouldn't want to accidentally put a foot down one of those!!! Also keep an eye out for snakes in the warmer months.

If you want to combine this cache with the night cache up closer to the carpark, I suggest you do the two around dawn or dusk. Do the night cache just before sunrise, and then head down to the creek for this one in the morning light, or alternatvely do this about an hour before sunset then head up to the night cache.

This cache is a 1L container with a few small swaps. You will need to BYO pen, though.

Congrats to KTCvic for FTF. He says a hint would be to look out for a couple of blackwoods.
