Es un sendero circular por lo que se puede realizar en los dos sentidos, bien en el de las agujas de reloj o en el contrario.
Se pretende que el itinerario y la colocacion de los tesoros se adapte al sendero existente, en forma de serie..
Algunos estan situados en zonas que no pueden traspasarse en ciertas epocas del año, para proteger a la fauna en epoca de reproducción. Por favor, cumplir con las normas y acatar esas limitaciones.
Pese a ser una excursión apta para todos los públicos, es preferible que los niños que no están acostumbrados a caminar no la realicen. No pueden llevarse carritos de bebés y la utilización de bastones de senderismo puede resultar de gran ayuda durante su desarrollo.
El recorrido, de 7,6 kilómetros, posee una duración de unas dos horas y media a tres y, a lo largo de él, los caminantes podrán detenerse a contemplar lugares tan emblemáticos como el Parque Natural de ses Salines, el poblado de sa Canal o el muelle de Sal. Asimismo, la bella panorámica de Formentera y de es Pas des Freus será el compañero de viaje del senderista.

Inicio del itinerario
El punto de partida se sitúa en el parking de la parada de autobuses de la playa de ses Salines, frente al Hotel-Restaurante Mar i Sal. En primer lugar debemos tomar la carretera en dirección sa Canal, es decir, hacia la derecha. Pasaremos de este modo por el Muelle de Sal y el poblado de sa Canal. Continuando por la carretera, quedando a la izquierda el mar y las casetas de pescadores, acaba la vía asfaltada y comienza un camino ancho que debemos seguir hasta que se introduce en el bosque. En ese momento, se convierte en un sendero que transcurre por el borde del acantilado, con vistas a la playa de ses salines y con Formentera al fondo.
Seguimos por el mismo sendero y, a mano derecha, nos encontramos con una subida. Escalamos la primera cuesta y arribamos así a sa Cova Llarga, desde donde observaremos unas maravillosas vistas de Es Pas des Freus, Formentera, ses Salines, es Cavallet y sa Salinera.
Es en este punto cuando debemos descender siguiendo el camino a la Cala des Torrent de s'Olla, atravesándolo y, siguiendo el camino cerca del acantilado, nos encontramos con una bifurcación que debemos tomar a la derecha.
Al llegar a la cima, disfrutaremos de unas vistas estupendas de es Vedrà, Cala Jondal y Porroig.
Llegados a este emplazamiento, continuamos por la cresta de la montaña hasta localizar una bajada empinada que descenderemos hasta encontrarnos entre dos promontorios para después volver a subir y bajar de nuevo tras observar las vistas que ofrece la cima.
Así, llegamos a un torrente más cerrado y volvemos a subir, hasta el tercer promontorio, cuando el camino empieza a bajar para continuar por la cresta, que transcurre muy cerca del acantilado, por lo que hay que prestar mucha atención.
Proseguimos con la caminata, bajamos y volvemos a subir, alcanzando de este modo la cima de es Cap des Falcó, con vistas a las Salinas, el aeropuerto, Cala Jondal y, entre otras, sa Caleta.
Tomamos el camino que se adentra en el bosque hasta encontrar la fuerte pendiente de la bajada, después de la que salimos del bosque para continuar por el camino que transcurre pegado al acantilado y que culminamos en el restaurante Cap des Falcó, punto en el que optaremos por el camino ancho y de tierra en dirección a la carretera de ses Salines.
En este instante nos toparemos con la sorprendente montaña de sal, donde el senderista podrá detenerse a tomar alguna fotografía, cuanto menos, curiosa.
Continuamos hasta el siguiente cruce, donde tomamos el camino de la derecha hasta la carretera. La cruzamos y seguimos el camino hacia la derecha, que nos lleva hasta una rotonda y el parking donde comenzamos nuestro recorrido.
A tener en cuenta
Cabe remarcar que el caminante puede llegar al punto de partida de la excursión a través del servicio de autobuses, para lo cual deberá informarse sobre la hora de salida y las cabeceras de las que parten los buses.
Las características de la excursión requieren la utilización de calzado y ropa cómodo, de protección solar y, por supuesto, del avituallamiento que estimemos oportuno.
