Kamniški vrh je 1259 m visoka gora, ki se nahaja severno od Kamnika med Stahovico in dolino Korošice. Viden je že od daleč s celotnega Mengeškega polja pa vse do Brnika. Južna pobočja so porasla s travo, severna pa poraščena z bukovim gozdom in drevesa, ki segajo nad greben, se zdijo kot razmršeni lasje. Na levi strani pobočja se že od daleč vidi izrazito melišče, prekrito z velikimi skalami, ki ima več imen: Kamniška ali Slevška roža pa tudi Monštranca.
S svojimi strmimi pobočji in višino bi bil kje drugje gotovo spoštovanja vredna gora, ker pa se nahaja v preddverju Grintavcev, ga ti zasenčijo s svojo podobo.Nanj vodi ogromno poti z vseh strani, nekaj idej lahko najdete na naslednji povezavi: <http://www.hribi.net/gora/kamniski_vrh/3/351>
Kamniški planinci so tam postavili manjši bivak, ki ponuja zavetje v slabem vremenu ali prostor za malico.
S prostora pred bivakom je lep pogled na Veliko Planino, dolino Kamniške Bistrice, cerkvi na Sv. Primožu in gričevje nad Kamnikom.

Kamniški vrh is a mountain with an altitude of 1259 m located north of Kamnik between Stahovica and Korošica valley. It is visible from afar all the way between Domžale and Brnik. Southern slopes are covered with grass, whereas northern are overgrown with beech trees. The trees growing above the ridge seem like tousled wavy hair. On the left side of the slope there is a lot of scree covered with large boulders that can be seen from afar; the scree goes by several names: Kamniška or Slevška roža (the flower) and also Monštranca.
With its steep slopes and its height Kamniški vrh would be considered a formidable mountain some place else, but since it is located in the passageway of a massive mountain range called Grintavci, their spectacular sight easily steals its limelight.

Near the summit some mountaineers from Kamnik built a small hut providing shelter in bad weather, which is also a place for a snack.
It also offers a nice view of Velika Planina, Kamniška Bistrica valley, the churches of St. Primož and the hills above Kamnik.
