Geocache Description:

CONGRATULATIONS to Silverlocks0 for being the First to Find.

This cache is to commemorate one of my best days of geocaching, ever. The creators of this awesome day of fun were fellow cachers/co-workers, Meandering Minnie and Cache Fanatic. The date was June 6th, 2014 and the occasion was my birthday (the BIG 60 milestone).

This outstanding adventure started in the morning with a pilgrimage to legendary geocache, 'The Spot' outside of Naples, NY. The hike down was exhilarating, and the time spent absorbing the moment, reading logs, taking pictures and trading SWAG, was fantastic. Upon leaving, Minnie and Fanatic gave me presents (I love presents). As I anxiously opened the gifts, 2 commemorative geocoins that were Indiana Jones themed (my favorite action-hero) revealed themselves and I was overcome with joy by the thoughtful gesture.

After one more photo in front of the cache with my shiney new coins, it was time to hike back up to the geomoblie and cache our way home. When we got to Rochester, I was treated to dinner from down-under, and caught up in the moment, I even consented to having the servers sing 'Happy Birthday' to me in that quirky way that restaurants do (film at 11).

Then it was onward toward Buffalo and off to Chestnut Ridge Park to make yet another attempt to find the illusive 'Cache by the Flame, a geocache that had alluded us on many previous occasions. The taste of success was finally ours to enjoy as we all signed the log and were glad that the smiley was now captured.

As a tribute to this day of geocaching at its best, the cache you are about to look for was hidden. This hide also honors one of the oldest caches in Erie County, Eternal Flame 1, which had been placed in this vicinity in 2001 and was archived in 2013.

You are looking for a round, camouflaged, plastic container with SWAG and a log to sign. Now go out and make some caching memories of your own.

Stop by the The Deadliest Cachers web site. We’d love to see you.
