In case you don't know what a Trig Station is, it's the marker pole that map makers/surveyors place at significant geographic locations, i.e at the highest point of the surrounding terrain or at the very top of a mountain or water tower/tv tower etc. Also they can often be found at the extremities of land masses. They are usually marked on topographic maps and guides with spot altitude readings. Trig Stations can be a simple pole in the ground or far more elaborate. I have included some examples with this report. To legally log this cache you must include a photo of the trig station with your GPS against the marker pole or the bench mark plate below it, and include the exact co-ords and elevation of that marker in your log. If you cannot reach the markers to place your GPS against it you cannot log the cache. Please only submit photos taken since the date of this cache report. Once a trig has been logged it can't be logged again, however a finder can log up to the maximum of 10 trigs. As you might guess, some trigs will be easy to reach (maybe just a short bush bash away) while others are placed in virtually inaccessible areas that will take a significant amount of hiking expertise and many hours to get to. For these more difficult trigs please include a good description and lots of photos of your adventure.
