A Stone’s Throw Away Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Highlander 71: Despite a fashion photo shoot happening just down the trail, I was able to spend some time scouring the area around GZ and I could not locate the container anywhere. After nearly 4 years, and 600+ happy customers, the time has come to archive my cache and make some space available for others. Thank you to everyone who took their time to search for my cache!

I have always said if you want to create a cache that will get a lot of visits, Stanley Park is the place to be! I can't wait to see what happens next! [:D]

Geocache Description:

You are probably wondering why I chose to put a cache here. At first glance, it appears to be nothing more than a random spot, but if you look closely amongst the vegetation* on either side of the trail you will begin to realize what makes this area special. I literally stumbled across it a couple of years ago while hiking from cache to cache. When I saw the shapes I couldn’t help but wonder “Are these replacements or rejects?”.

Here are some of the potential cache names I had considered for this cache:

  • Mel’s Rockpile (for all the old SCTV fans out there!)
  • Stone Age Lego
  • DIY ‘Henge’ Kit
  • Between a Rock and a …Rock
  • Measure Twice, Cut Once

*The items that give this location its appeal might not be readily apparent during the height of growing season unless the area has had a recent weed-whacking. For that reason I recommend a visit here in the fall or winter months.
