Geocache Description:

A relatively easy and quick three-stage multi-cache on Seurasaari island.

Helpohko ja nopea kolmiosainen multikätkö Seurasaaressa.

The listed coordinates will lead you to the top of a small rocky hill. From the hill opens a view to the Seurasaari Festival Ground and the surrounding park. For decades people have gathered here to celebrate e.g. Midsummer, Christmas, and Easter.

Firstly, count how many steps are there in the narrow stairs leading from the grandstand to the top of the hill. Then take a look around and count the number of flagpoles nearby.

The name of the cache refers to the object presented at the second stage. The object was on its location way before the first Midsummer dances were organised in the 1950s.

The second stage is to be found at the coordinates of N 60° 10.[steps X flagpoles X 5 + 33] E 024° 53.[steps X flagpoles - 6]. At the second stage you'll also find the decimal parts of the coordinates of the nearby actual cache box (N 60° 10.??? E 024° 53.???).

There is no need to move anything, espacially any rocks, at the second stage. In the cache box there is some room for trackables and trading items. Please do not try to remove the box altogether, just bend the fastening if needed. All the stages are winter-friendly. Welcome and good luck!

Kätkön koordinaatit tuovat pienen kallion laelle, miltä aukeaa näkymä Seurasaaren juhlakentälle ja sen viereiselle puistoalueelle. Kentälle on vuosikymmenten ajan kokoonnuttu juhlimaan milloin juhannusta tanssien ja milloin joulua napakelkan kyydissä odottaen.

Laske ensin, kuinka monta askelmaa on kapeissa portaissa, jotka johdattavat katsomorakennelmalta ylöspäin kallion laelle. Sen jälkeen tarkkaile ympäristöäsi ja laske lähelläsi olevien lipputankojen määrä.

Kätkön nimi viittaa toisella pisteellä esiteltävään kohteeseen. Se oli paikoillaan jo kauan ennen ensimmäisiä 1950-luvulla pidettyjä juhannustansseja.

Kohde löytyy koordinaateista N 60° 10.[portaat X lipputangot X 5 + 33] E 024° 53.[portaat X lipputangot - 6]. Toiselta pisteeltä löydät myös lähellä sijaitsevan lopullisen kätköpurkin koordinaattien desimaaliosat (N 60° 10.??? E 024° 53.???).

Toisella pisteellä ei kuulu tai tarvitse siirtää mitään, varsinkaan kiviä. Kätköpurkissa on jonkin verran tilaa kulkijoille ja vaihtareille. Ethän yritä irrottaa purkkia kokonaan, tarvittaessa vain käännä tai taivuta kiinnitystä. Kaikki pisteet löytyvät hyvin talvellakin. Tervetuloa ja onnea etsintöihin!
