Geocache Description:

If doing this caching series in winter best to start with Cravedale & work back towards The Whaling Station as the loosely defined path is prone to being wet, mucky & quite a challenge for the less experienced hill walker. Suitable walking boots & waterproofs required. This series will also take a good 7 hours to complete, maybe more so bear in mind when planning your day.

Cliasamol School stands on the hill above Branndarsaig and was built to serve the children of Cliasamol & Miabhag.  With the typical logic of Inverness County - the local authority of the time - the school was built halfway between the two villages.  If they had built in Cliasamol, then the Miabhag children would have got wet on a bad day, if they had built in in Miabhag the Cliasamol children would have got wet; to be fair they built it half-way, so both lots of children got wet.
