I chose this spot for a cache firstly because of what the Alderney Wildlife Trust has done with the community woodland project which also has the ACW observation bunker, they have converted this bunker to allow access safely and provides lots of information on the project and its future.
The cache is at a brilliant viewing point that has a panoramic view from the harbour all the way round to Essex hill and Longis Beach. On a clear day Burhou can be seen in the background and France the other direction.
Please note there is a ladder to climb to the cache, again this is safe and padding is placed all around the area.
