HR: Platanus acerifolia Willd - javorolisna platana
Ime potječe od grč. platys-širok zbog širokih listova i krošnje i acerifolia-listovi sliče listovima javora. Potječe iz sjeverne Amerike. U Europi se najčešće uzgaja kao dugovječna biljna vrsta. Živi i dulje od 600 godina. U pejsažnom dijelu parka nalaze se tri velike javorolisne platane i to uz kružno šetalište. Platana koju vam pokazujemo je najveća u parku i vjerujemo najstarija s opsegom debla od 8,6 metara. Tu se redovito okupljaju mladi te zaljubljeni parovi koji se potpisuju na koru drveta. Međutim drvo svoju koru redovito odbacuje tako da uvijek stvori mjesta novim potpisima.

The name of this tree originates from Greek Platys-wide because of its wide leaves and treetop, and acerifolia-leaves look like leaves of maple. It originates from North America. In Europe is most commonly grown as long-lasting plant species because it can leave even more than 600 years. In park Valpovo there are three specimen of this sort of tree right next to path. The tree that we are showing to you is biggest and we believe the oldest in the park, with trunk perimeter of about 8,6 meters. This is the most visited part of the park where youth is gathering and signing their names. That is not very nice but fortunately the tree renews its crust and makes space for new signatures.
