Geocache Description:

Here is the next set of caches along the South County Trail. Trying to continue on with H2"O"s great work on the North County Trail.

The South County Trailway is a 14.1-mile (22.7 km) long trail stretching from Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx to Elmsford in Westchester, NY. Construction started in the 1990s and was completed in 2011.  Most sections of the trailway are paved.  This was once the part of the New York Central Railroad system.

Poison Ivy is very common along this trail, but I did my best to avoid it.

The cache is a medium lock & lock container.  The cache is accessible from the paved trailway, with a small bushwhack.

Our afternoon was wrapping up.  Our legs were a little tired, and I had one more container in hand.  This seemed like as good a spot as any for a cache.

Parking is available at the posted coordinates.
There is also trail access from the North, but parking nearby is restricted.
