Two members of the SFVG2 (also known as SFVG4 and SFVG5 were travelling from Ridgecrest and had planned to make it to Mammoth (we made it as far as Lone Pine) and we noticed this pretty girl was cache lonely! There wasn't one for miles! So we fixed the solution!
Wave back to her, hopefully she will no longer be lonely and Geocachers will be as friendly to her as this cache allows. Original container is a Diabetes Test Strip container with just a log. BYOB! Please replace as you found it.
To make it easier, take the access road at Coso Junction. Otherwise access from 395 is a couple of miles away.
As of 02/28/15 the container is securely attached. PLEASE return it exactly as it is to make sure it is safe on windy days. Also, I never noticed until it was mentioned in a log, but there is an adorable park at the cache that will bring out the Child of the 70's & 80's in you! Check out the photos posted by CaptainFrankie & Tom to see.
On 04/25/15 I received an email from someone claiming to be with the City of Pearsonville. They knew we were having the CITO event at the park due to the website and wanted to let be know that they have no problem with a cache being located NEAR the statue but they are furious of the methods people are using to replace the cache IN the statue. They are the ones that have been removing them.
They have requested that the cache is no longer up the skirt. Since they made the request nicely I have complied and they have approved the new location. It is still IN the statue, just not up the skirt. If these acts of vandalism continue they will ban all caches within the town in the future. Please be respectful of their wishes!
