Our Lady of Everett Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Moun10Bike: Hi Rich42 and Broken Alice,

I am one of the volunteer admins for Geocaching.com. I was just reviewing your "Our Lady of Everett" cache (GC5345).

It looks as if this cache has been under the weather for some time - the last find is dated April 2. As stated in the cache listing guidelines available at this link:

You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing.

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thank you for your understanding,

PNWadmin
Geocaching.com admin.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A short walk in the park

Should be reasonably easy, except that GPS reception at the cache isn’t that great.

Look for a fallen double stump (you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it) -on- the trail. Behind the stump about 7 feet off the trail – you should see a pointy log with antlers (again – you’ll know it when you see it). The cache is under the log.

If your having trouble with GPS reception - try heading out to the clearing, get a lock there, then head towards the general direction of the cache. Walk around - if you keep the clues in mind - you shouldn't have too much trouble even if your GPS is way off.

The original contents of this cache are all somehow related to Catholicism. It is intended in good fun, and should not be taken as evangelical. Don’t feel obligated to follow the theme of the cache – leave whatever item you like.

Good luck!
