The reason we have decided to publish this as a multi-cache is so you get to visit this church and have a look around instead of just parking and grabbing because that doesn’t make you enjoy this place’s beauty and peacefulness.
The church is open to the public everyday but it would be best to do this in the daytime as people may think you are up to something.
This cache is located at St Ethelburga a very small picturesque church located east of Great Givendale. The church you see now was rebuilt in 1849 incorporating bits from the original Norman church from the 1150’s on the site but most of the medieval stone was and reused for road building.
To find the coordinates you must solve the following puzzle
How many upright fence posts from top to the first corner =AB
N 53 58.(A+A)9A W 000° 45.B(B/A)8
Once you have found the clues there is a bench outside the church where you can sit to work out the coordinates.
