Introduction:
Il y'a environ 290 millions d'années, la terre n'avait qu'un seul continent, la Pangée, avec une faille centrale. Une découverte géologique situerait Le Village de La Baume Cornillane au centre de scission et placerait la Drome au centre du monde. C'est dans ce lieu que je vous propose de vous rendre afin de chercher certaines réponses aux questions qui vous seront posées.
La Pangée
La Pangée (du grec ancien πᾶν / pân (« tout ») et γαῖα / gaîa (« terre »), en latin : PANGÆA, littéralement : « toutes les terres ») est un supercontinent. Son nom lui a été donné par le météorologue et astronome allemand de l’université de Marburg, Alfred Wegener. Dans son ouvrage intitulé La Genèse des continents et des océans et publié en 1915, il décrit la Pangée comme rassemblant la quasi-totalité des terres émergées, il y a environ 240 millions d'années.
